and how to carry this?
A 4-Week Virtual Workshop for Artists in Times of Permacrisis
Permacrisisdescribes an extended period of instability and uncertainty, where multiple, overlapping crises feel constant rather than temporary. As artists and cultural workers, we often feel compelled to capture the essence of the times. As Nina Simone once said, “It is an artist’s duty to reflect the times.” But how do we continue to create amid collective grief, trauma, and uncertainty?
and how to carry this?, a 4-week virtual workshop led by Nadia Tahoun, co-founder of Flower Shop Collective, invites artists to explore both their personal responses and those of others to these challenging times with compassion and purpose.
In this workshop, you will:
Learn trauma-informed practices to integrate into your art, fostering resilience and empathy.
Participate in a community dedicated to processing grief and offering mutual support.
Explore the work of artists, both past and present, who have confronted trauma and grief in their art.
Leave with a fully developed proposal for your next project, shaped by your insights and the group’s shared experience.
